According to Digital Information World, people spend on average 2 hours and 22 minutes per day on social media. Let me start off with some statistics over social media use. It also has to do with the way that you can use these tools to your advantage and not succumb to the addiction of social media on your phone. It has more to do with how these digital tools can serve your values in ways that are extremely beneficial, not because you should have them because society around you has them. Being digitally connected is something that has become normal in this world, where if you don’t have a smart phone or don’t have a social media presence, you’re deemed as someone who isn’t “getting with the times”. Back in 2007, it was hard to find someone who had a smart phone, but fast-forward to 2020 and now it’s hard to find someone who does not have one.
